Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with an opportunity to write a business memorandum in response to a specific request. It requires you to get
into the literature of sustainability using trade publications available in the UNLV Library. Secondly it gives you an opportunity to write a memorandum in BUSINESS
Margins will be 1 all around
Present it as a memorandum to me from you – the Chief Engineer.
The memorandum requires a clear, concise writing style with good grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
I suggest you provide 1.5 to 2 pages presenting alternatives
and an additional 1.5 to 2 pages making recommendations
Be sure that you meet the specifications from your CEO in the memorandum
For grading purposes the (1) Alternatives, (2) Recommendations, and (3) Justification are the most important part of the paper. The Recommendations and justification
are key to a good grade. The are grounded in a well written alternatives section which must, of necessity, be tightly written.
A poorly written paper (grammar, spelling, colloquialisms, non-professional approach) will receive a poor grade
The paper will be checked for originality and grammar
There will be significant penalty for poor grammar and writing style
